Executive Decision

I have officially come to an official executive decision, several of them, actually.
a) Guys aren't worth it because they're all too perverted, moody, and ego-freaks.
b) Even if they were mature enough, there's not one of them out there that could handle me.
So you see, boyfriends are overrated and you shouldn't need a guys' opinion to make you feel good about yourself. You've done just fine without them, so why the heck should you need them now?
Guys are great as friends, because they usually offer an interesting point of view on things. It's not always an intelligent one, but interesting nonetheless. It's not always a bad thing to have another brother or two.
If you're one of those girls whose always thinking "Does he like me?", then answer is most likely no because that guy is probably not cool or smart enough to like someone as cool as you are. :)

Goo Goo Dolls Iris Video

I really love this video and song... it really does have great love lyrics.

Bleh.

What the heck are you supposed to do when the love of your life belongs to a religion where he's not allowed to date until he's seventeen? What kind of cruel world is this? That's not fair in any way. That's the kind of disappointment that makes you want to go die in a hole and burn up so no one can ever find you, or run away to Mars and never come back. That, my friend, is just another example of why nothing in my life ever works. Nothing can ever just work. There has to be some complicated drama and negotiation just to get the reaction you're looking for, and even then it doesn't work. I'm trying to be grateful for what I have, but sometimes it's just hard.

La la la

Tra la la la la! From the words of Bernie Taupin (in the song 'Your Song' by Elton John), "How wonderful life is, while you're in the world." Everyone's got a special someone, whether or not that someone knows that they're special to you. You know what I'm talking about: just seeing that person brightens up your day, when they're sad you want to wrap your arms around them and never ever let go, and when they're mad you want to go and punch whoever made them mad, and every time they talk to you you get butterflies and want to lean in and kiss them on the spot. But, unfortunately, in public middle school this can be a hard feat to carry out. Another beautiful thing: when your boyfriend sits with you and your table full of insane friends and doesn't seem too embarrassed. A hilarious and kind of awkward thing: your friend's boyfriend (who is your bestest guy buddy) who is sitting at your table at lunch sits between you and his girlfriend, but scooches up against you unintentionally because he's so nervous. Isn't that adorable? It's just like, Dude! Stop touching me! I'm not your girlfriend! But you have to give him props for trying to wait for his girlfriend after he finishes eating. Of course, because she's a slow eater he ended up leaving, but cute nonetheless.

Young Love

Ah, young love. It's beautiful, isn't it? I love being a match maker, and being happy for my friends when it comes along. This, by the way, is dedicated to Zookie, my favorite cute couple. Actually, it's my only cute couple. I love you both with a passion! But, Z-baby, if you break her heart, I will break your face. Now, if I can only get the adorable first chair percussionist to fall for me...

Love vs. Hate

I find it really sad in this world how much people hate each other. They don't realize that it's so much easier to love than it is to hate; that's it's easier to see people's strong points rather than their bad ones. To hate someone you have to think about why you hate them, and it takes more effort that you would think most people would be willing to put out, but then you see them complaining and hating on others. Loving people is so much easier. All you have to do is open up your heart and hope that God points you in the right direction. People these days are so critical of each other, and most people tend to see others' flaws more than their strong points. If you cut the media out of your life and don't let it affect you, you're going to have a much more positive life, and a happier one at that. Just know that all it takes is a smile to the haters to completely throw them off balance.

Outlook

Words of wisdom from an eighth grader: You're not always going to be happy. You're not always going to be excited, or proud. You're not always going to be pleasant, smart, or logical. You're not always going to love or trust who you should. Sometimes you're just going to be stupid. But the least you can be is grateful for what you have, because there is someone out there who would trade places with you in a heartbeat.
Keep that in mind, friends.
